Have any of y'all northerners ever snowshoed? It looks like a lot of work and pretty good exercise,... possibly an opportunity to have some good fun too.

Tie a couple of tennis rackets to your feet and then go for a walk at the beach. That should give you an idea of what snowshoeing is all about.

I liked snowshoeing a lot while I was up there. Great exercise. I even have a nice set. Let me know if you want to borrow them.

Snowshoeing is a sport? I thought it was just necessity in some places. Looks like it would be fun as long as I didn't have to do it. Things like that are much more fun (to me at least) when I have a choice.

They make them pretty small and light they workout pretty good i have a set but hardly ever use them.

Doesn't have to be motorized to be fun.

They make light weight performance ones for sport and ones for backcountry travel while wearing a loaded backpack.

I haven't done it much. But I can see how it would be fun to be out in the woods in winter. People use them for hunting.

Probablly extremely useful for hunting. Do they use XC skiis as well?
