OK, geniuses, way high idle when cold...

43 degrees this morning, dry as a bone. Started the bike and it idled at about 1500 rpm. I pulled in the clutch on the way to work several times to check, and it was still about that until I got about 8 or 9 miles on it, then it idled normally.
I'll see how it behaves this afternoon, but that was the only thing odd this morning, no popping or acting up other than that abnormally high idle.

If it does it again, try shutting down and restarting.

Once, my RK was doing just what you're talking about and it turned out to be the butterfly pin. It was cracked.

I've battled the low idle stuff too. All seems well now, though.

Maybe it's the tuners map?

I haven't tried to adjust the close throttle cable to closer tolerances yet.

Maybe that?

I had the same problem before I got my tune. I would call Otto and see if there is a parameter that can be re-written.

Yup,

In the data mode....start bike and record IAC steps as they relate to the tuning constants in the tuning mode....

Default Tuning Constants.

DEG C
-16=100
0=79
16=51
32=45
48=40
64=35
80=30
96=25
112=20
128=20
144=20
160=20

If fubarbed, reset IAC steps in tuning mode to actual readings taken in data mode if you can. If it won't let you set it to the exact actual reading...set it as close as it will let you, save the file and reprogram the ECM with the new calibration. If you continue to have idle problems...get back to me and maybe I'll know how to reset voltage to the IAC by then......

I had even tried a new IAC valve and it wasn't better till my last tuning. Now it doesn't stay above 1,800 RPM's for long time (20-30 seconds) after throttle down like it did last tune.
