H-D Pemium Oil Cooler Question

Has anyone installed one of these kits, esp on a 07-08?

My question is on the gasket that fits between the block and adapter. It doesn't seem to match up well.

One of the new style coolers? Seems like it (cooler) should work as the TC filter hasn't changed any. But would have to see in person.

Don't you just love the ad on stuff you have to modify to make fit?

DJ,
would it just be easier to get a fellow dOOve to ride along on your running board and hold a small battery operated fan, or maybe just blow hot air at it?

Just installed one on my fxdf. That gasket really only fits one way, but it still doen't look right. But it is. Be sure to use some permatex #2 as it tends to leak.

Right. WTF are they thinking with that gasket. I found some threads down the street about this subject and tacked the gasket in place with a dab of RTV in the correct orientation. Seems to work well now.

WOOT!

I would use the aviation permatex not sure if that is #2 or not but it doesn't harden and is much easier to clean up if you need to take it apart again Just sayen
