Have to say I do miss driving that thing. First car I had ever owned with that kind of power. You could be rolling at 55 mph punch it and spin the tires. Hell of a lot of fun, but that shot of it in the snow was the first and only time it was was out in that weather. That was the day we traded it in. Thing had so much torque it barely could make it up the driveway with that little bit of snow on the ground.

The V6 model is now at 315 HP, imagine the GT or the GT500.

Start getting into softtails and you are quickly around 14-15....so maybe that is the issue?
Yeah that's true, but for what the japanese were offering for 2k less back in the late 90's made the sportster a hard sell for me.

I was just learning to ride back in 1998 and I ended up going with the v-star custom for 5,500. It seemed manageable and I was a bit intimidated by the bigger bikes. I tried the sportsters, but at the time I didn't like the feel or balance of those bikes... felt very top heavy. I really liked the softails but like you said they were starting at 13K and they seemed big. So that shut me down. So I went with the Japanese spin of the softail. No complaints with it. It was a good bike, reliable and very comfortable to learn on.

With that said I could never go back to any of them. I rode my buddies v-star last year and it just felt like a toy, kinda cheap and so much plastic. I really love the harley's and after 12 years of riding my confidence is a lot better. My rocker just feels solid and the power is right there, (now given that's a 650cc and my rocker is a 1584cc with a SE racing tuner).

Pisser is years later and cash is still the issue with buying another bike... but now I'm just being greedy.

It looks like she was getting frustrated that the zoom button wouldn't go any further.

New Mustangs are pretty hot. I wanted one when I bought my VW...but they had yet to release the 'vert in a GT model yet....otherwise I'd have been a Ford guy.

...and tell the truth Yolkum...it ain't that big...your hands are only the size of the average 4 year old....

And so the woman is willing to spend her life looking at the back of a guy's head? Or worse, not riding at all?

Have you considered psychotherapy? Just to improve the psycho-level in her blood, y'know.

We had an automatic V6 as a rental last October, that was pretty quick in itself, I'd love a 302 with the 6-speed. Or does it come with a 5?
