Gas tank paint prep?
After 9+ years, Vader's paint looks like hell. It's covered in rock chips and swirl marks, and it's due for a makeover.
But how does one get a gas tank ready for paint? I'm assuming I can't just drain it and take it to a paint shop. Do I need to do anything to the inside to keep it from rusting?

When I had mine done I just drained and took it in. Granted it was in the shop the next day. What Bird did with it after he got it I have no idea. I remember him saying something about fumes and his shop heater not going together real well...... What ever it was it must have been ok since his shop is still standing. BTW he does damn good work and is VERY reasonable. he's done a couple of repairs for our members and treated them good. Call me ifn you want his info.
Linky to my thread.

It's an option.....I'd bet it's cheaper than you might think.

When I had mine painted I just handed him a core with everything removed.
