While talking about Bluetooth thingies...
I was wondering if some brand of blue-tooth "headset" would link up with and work with the Boom® radio system on the newer Harley EG's (and RG's).
I checked out the Harley web accessory electronics listings and all I saw was the plug in (the tank mounted plug) head set thingies that "communicate" with the "Boom" ® radio system.

Negatory. Harley has hobbled their Bluetooth so that it won't play nice with any 3rd-party headsets. You have to wire in to their system to be fully integrated.

So until Harley buys a Bluetooth headset that won't play with others we are tethered to the gas tank.
Nice... Thanks.

There is this. You stick one headset in the bike that's connected to the stereo, and that connects to your headset.

That's a Harley joke they played with the intro of the Rushmores.
The Harley website actually *said* "link to your BlueTooth headset" for awhile, then that disappeared. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Humm, probably some licensing fees they don't care to cough up and pass onto the buyer of their products at a higher fee.

So space shuttle with bedrock tires.
Bluetooth able radio system and a soup can and string to link to it... What a deal! Yeah, there is the Milwaukee tractor engine mounted in the frame as my sen sei used to say... But we sure do enjoy the stump pulling torque!

Tom, I've been Bluetooth-ed to the HK radio using a Sena Transmitter widget for a long while. It works very well. I have no doubt it will also work with the Boom! Radio.

While talking about Bluetooth thingies...
I saw just yesterday at the local dealer, a Bluetooth headset sold by Harley that was clearly a SENA product labeled Boom! HD SPH-10. It was the half-lid version. Im out of the loop on what HD now offers with the newer Boom! Stuff but apparently they do now have integrated BT headset support (?)
EDIT: how silly of me! A quick looksee revealed that no..... just because HD decides to private label SENA Bluetooth devices and call them "Boom!" Headsets, this does NOT mean that Boom! Headsets will work with Boom! Radios....
