Crack in pipe
I was just cleanen the blood and feathers off the bike...another story...when I noticed that on the back jug...the pipe the connects from the left, welded into the the right has a crack in it. Is that something that can be welded....and welded while its on the bike?

Just me, but I'd pull it off--easier for the welder to work on it and a lot less likely to fry anything electronic by accident.

If you take it off to weld (electric) watch for heat warping.

just throw the bike down on the left side so all the sparks fall on the floor and not on anything important

Had the head welder at the shop check out the crack....good news is he can get to it...the bad news is he thinks I should replace it...worse news it whomever put it in might have had the jugs out to get it in...I have to take the heat sheilds off tonight....then he can weld it in place...gets some brass in the crack....will keep you posted.
