LOL! Yep - that's Blinky. The artist that did the rest of the work on my back was also my boyfriend at the time - he had a sense of humor like mine and came up with that idea so we put him in. He's actually got a little worm in his mouth that's yelling....

Hmmmm....what's a "Trogdor"??

Bobsled - no pirate - just Neptune, Blinky and a mermaid. And a big, mean creature! LOL!

Scabby - thanks!

Talon - that piece was done start to finish in about 2.5 hrs - including a few smoke breaks for Marcus. Marcus is fast & furious - he tells people straight out that it'll hurt more but it'll get done faster.

And yes, I definitely earned that one - that part of my back is EXTREMELY sensitive. I told myself I'd never get work done there again (it's the reason that the Neptune didn't get completely colored). But I did, and I have to say I did very well and am pretty damn proud of the way I sat for it.

When he first started, I was worried because it hurt so f*ckin' bad, but I got into "the zone" and made it fine. He even covered up the scar from my back surgery (you can barely see it in the 2nd picture) - that felt great...(NOT!!) I can usually handle about 2 hours or so before I start getting cranky. Once I start, I don't move much or ask for breaks until it's done.

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone - this is the best piece I've gotten, and I love it - especially since I know I really earned it.

I'll post more when I get the color done.
