I've had the 440's (stock length) on my electra glide for about 5 or 6 years now. Life time warrantee, I've sent them back once for a leaky seal. I have the heavy duty springs on mine. Super happy.

Yeah I was happy with my 440's despite the lack of fancy progressive hydraulic valving inside them. And I was running stock springs, not the big boy ones.


The best part, you don't have to shelp the penis pump around anymore.

that is totally untrue, there is a little work on the initial set up, basically just setting the sag, once that is set for 1 up and for 2 up, you just need to check it again in 1000 miles when the springs settle in, now you have your two sag settings a $10 shock wrench and about 5 minutes you can have it changed, I am not anal retentive about the settings so if angela isn't going to be riding for a while and she goes for a ride I leave it set for 1 or vice versa if she is riding with me for a while and I take the bike to work for a day or 2 I don't bother changing it.

JRI and done. You need one tool - a standard suspension spanner - and truthfully you don't even need that if you have a strong grip (but you're not single, so never mind). With any shock you have to set the sag. This takes some time, but it's easy. You need to have a setting for you, and a setting for 2-up. Easy. It takes a little experimentation to get the damping set right. Then you're done. Re-check the sag after about 1,500 miles (the springs will settle), and no more dicking with it. You adjust the preload based on load (passenger, luggage, etc), but you should be doing that on any shock.

Ride comfort is something I don't get cheap and lazy about. The JRIs are the shiz.
