Midwest Mugs breakfast and beer
Orbit and I got out for a while today to get our knees in the breeze and put some miles under our belts.
Started with brekkie at the Bristol Diner and then wandered the back roads up to Knuckleheads Pub in Eagle Wi. for a couple of cold ones. Meandered back to the house and hung out for a bit in the driveway talking stuff. I must say that the B is in fine form since the heart transplant. She is silky smooth and plenty of grunt. Ken was kind enough to let me test ride the B around on a short loop in the neighborhood and the smooth amount of torque and power was surprising, I'm glad I was hanging on tight when I twisted the wick. It was awesome to see Ken and get out for a bit. He showed me some roads in my own back yard that I had never seen. All in all a most pleasurable day. Thanks Ken! Eagle eye Ken saw this sign on the road and we flipped around for a pic:

Hey Mike!
It was good to see and visit with you as well. It was a pleasure to lead you down some of those tasty morsels known in Wisconnie as the Alphabet Roads. And Mt. Tom Rd. was fun, too, wasn't it? It was a fine way to spend a day.

Sounds like a fine time with great people.
I might have burned up a half a tank of gas this year. I need to get out more.

Why Nature Rd. is called Nature Rd.
Forgotted something.......
We were toolin' down Nature Rd., just south of Eagle, WI. Nature Rd. is a fine roller coaster road with a few little bends in it to make life interesting. Big Cheese and I weren't runnin' much over the speed limit, maybe a few over. I come over one of those coaster humps in the road when who's crossin' but Tom Turkey. Like in Wild Tom Turkey. Biggest wild turkey I've ever seen. I didn't want ol' Tom to turn back and come back across the road so's I gave him a little horn. Never seen one take flight 'til yesterday. Didja know they can lift pretty much straight up if'n they have to? It was pretty cool! Bestest part: He got to continue goin' wherever he was goin', and so did I!

The wingspan on that critter was impressive. I think I was as shocked as you were. I'm not sure he avoided crashing into something in that little grove of trees he flew in to. I know you were past him by then, but he banked on a steep 45 as he went in. Pretty to see.
