Third Torx screw

It appears I have to remove the left side passenger phloorboard to get the third torx screw out of the derby cover so I can refill my primary.

What a gianormus pain in the ass!

I need more tools.

I always fill mine through the inspection cover, where you adjust the chain tensioner.

That would be a phantastic option if I had an inspection cover. I think they did away with them in 07.

oh yeah... that's convenient too... threading the needle between the floorboard and the hole... course, you do get the bonus of a chain inspection for your trouble...

I make fun designs with air tubing all over the garage... put one end in the inspection hole and the other gets the oil...

It can be very festive with Amsoil ATF... its pink....

I never change mine w/o lubing my clutch cable (ARE YOU LISTENING, JOSH?!?) and adjusting my clutch, so which hole I dump the oil in is a moot point.

You need a bit set and a 1/4 inch ratcheting box end wrench. Simple!!

You should try and get the drain plug out of a "93 Softail's transmission. Only way to do it is with the tools mentioned above unless you want to take off the exhaust pipe.

And I just pour the quart in the inspection cover. Don't need a funnel.

Mega, overkill man, but if it works for you, go for it. You do have a point about Josh's cables though.

sumbitch I have the bit set, always use the ratcheting driver that came with it. Thought about using just a simple box wrench instead after I had given up phor the night. Just went and checked the took box. I have a 1/4" ratcheting box wrench!

Still might buy a set of hex bit sockets just cause.

geez it's not a big deal, a 3/8 ratchet, a long extension with a wobble end, not universal joint type just the funny shapped male end that allows the socket to wobble a bit, and I believe a #50 torx... yea I know it's a socket head bolt, but the right torx allows you to get it so dang easy I use it. It's like 10 seconds to get the floorboard off and 10 secnds to get it on. wuss!
