There is a Goldwing I may buy down there, 1992 GL1500 with 5000 original miles on it. Maybe someone could go look at it and give me an eyeball, I send you the money, you hold it for me till I can get down to pick it up.

Just sayin, I might buy it, not sure, the wife is trying to veto it in the worst way. I may not win over her heart and mind with this.

Hill Country covers a lot of country. I would guess that BillyB is the closest and he certainly has the most experience riding them (even on sidewalks I am told).

Any clue as to where in the Hill Country?

I will be taking to the guy tomorrow, he is suppose to call me at the lab. Not sure where in Hill country he is. I have been on the hunt for a GL1500 for several months, will have 2 bikes, keeping Red. The 1500 is well mannered hwy machine and I like the looks much better than the 1800. This is the interstate, a base model, no reverse, heated grips etc, I can live without the reverse, the rest can be retrofitted. They have been known to go 400,000 miles.I want this one because of the condition and mileage. Just gotta convince the wife why I need 2 bikes instead of her new SUV.

1) The clutch is probably shot.

6) The GPS maps are probably out of date...
