My rear Dunlop has 9200 on it right now and just hits the red on the depth gauge. The front has plenty of tread left on it. I change front and back to Metzlers on my Sporty just before MMMT last year and loved the way they gripped over the Dunlops. Only had about 3000 miles on them when I toasted the bike.

I hear tell that a Dunlop on the front for steering and a Metz on the rear for better traction. I'm trying that now. Will report any noticeable changes

They gripped great, right up to the crash.....

Tire grip was not the issue at all in the crash. I single moment of distraction was. I won't make that mistake again.

Good news! I found the indy that did my tires the last time! For stock replacement, he was $50 less than the dealer, and I'd rather give him my money than the HD service dept. Now I just have to decide on Dunlop or Metz. I'm leaning towards just putting the stocker back on until they both need replacing next year. So far, I haven't had much of an issue with these outside of tar snakes.
