www.
my new computer has windows 7 home premium...ie9, i guess...
at the top where you type in www. , it only keeps about 5 websites... is there a way to expand that so i dont have to keep typing the www. for the ones i look atmost... i think my other one keeps about 15...

You don't really need to use the "www" much anymore in the address bar.
It sorta knows that. I'm running Windows 7 Pro.

Just add all your favorite websites to the Favorites bar...or pin the website to your Taskbar.

A little shortcut for you...
if you want to go to http://www.google.com, in your address bar, type in google and press and hold the CTRL key when you hit enter...IE will automatically put in the www. and .com for you.

There is an area you can change what the default is. In the US, .com is what it uses. The specific thing he is asking about would most likely be listed under one of two areas...browser history and how many days it remember in there, and clear cache, which if the browser window is set to clear cache at exit, that information will be wiped out each time that IE is opened. Both of these things can be found under Tools > Internet Options.

Or he could use Google Chrome, which starts doing a Google search on what you are typing in to that line and cross references what you have typed in there before and also checks for popular sites that jive with what you are typing...all on the fly. This is my current favorite.
