Mine's not either. I should have maybe degreased the motor. I'll have to wipe down the frame, too. But I still have the bags, trunk and side covers to do as well as the back half chrome. Should put it up on the lift and do the wheels, too but I don't want this to spiral out of control either.

A guy could make a career out of polishing his Harley.

I don't do anything with frame or motor. I wash at car wash, easy on pressure then by hand hand. Frame is black, can't see grease.

I actually had mine washed for $516.00 at Reno HD on the way home. All I had to do was spray on S100 Engine brightner.

Even though I like this concept, I don't really get it. I don't know how they do it in OKC, but around here it is normally a fund raising activity for the local high shcool.

So here's what they do. They put a half dozen minors in bikinis on the corner with signs to attract business. Sort of like hookers. The rest of them are busy washing cars filled with old men checking out the minors in bikinis.

Something just seems wrong with that.

I don't go because I end up feeling like Chester the Molester having watched those nubile young girls rubbing parts on my car.

All them gimmicks.
Nothing beats hot water, soap, elbow grease, time and a little ingenuity.

I disagree. Them gimmicks made my bike look great and no amount of rubbing with soap and water would have done it for me. But then I had bugs from last year still stuck on it.

I'm going to try to stay ahead of it this time.

Or never wash it again.

So, if you clean it before putting it away so that it's clean when you're ready to ride again.... that's somehow different than washing it just before you take a ride?

Sorry, had to ask

My interpretation is that the bugs and dirt come off easier when fresh rather than wait till they dry out.

I could be wrong. It happened once before ya know...
