Cooler rack

I've been toying with the idea of getting something like this for the BSL for long trips. Anyone ever used a detachable cooler rack? Any thoughts about a setup like this one versus having a hitch installed and using a hitch-mount?

Not a chance. I want to carry a cooler that'll hold a couple of Gatorades and water bottles, not lug around a trailer.

I feel the same. I bought a small soft-side cooler at Wally that will hold plenty of cans or bottles for 2 people. I bungee it behind the backrest when riding alone and on top of the luggage rack when 2-up.It is about a foot square (Cubed) with a small Velcro lid for easy access.

That's the size I'm looking to carry, problem is I usually have a passenger, and we have a T-Bag we carry on the luggage rack.

I have dedicated cooler space in my left saddlebag. If I run out of room, something else stays behind.
It holds 6-16 oz cans quite nicely, or 2 guart gatorade bottles with room for a fairly good size ice pack.
You can do 6 12 oz cans and another three across the top on their sides, but I don't recommend it.
There was an "incident" Seems aluminum isn't very rub resistant.

Was that you hanging out the beer soaked clothes on the balcony rail at CMI in '08, at the ERG get together?

I don't put clothes in the saddlebag.
So no.

Plus I'm not ERG. Not E enough.
