You might check out the clearance centers from some of these custom millworks places (if there are any near you). I know that they have a lot of misorders that people have made and want to get rid of them. A popular one here in Houston is: http://www.bisonbuilding.com/

What's wrong with the door? I have heard of people fixing exterior doors instead of replacing them, although I have no idea what's involved with it. Just a thought.

Whats the exterior of your barn? Mine is T-11, so my door is the same material. 4' wide with 1X3 trim on the outside. It's reinforced inside with cross braces and a sheet of flake board. Quite sturdy, and it's 11 years old. You could build my door for like a hundred bucks.

Well, you have a shop...and I assume a table saw and perhaps a drill but perhaps a drill press. Why not buy two solid doors, and rip them to size and dowel them together. Also, there is one of those places in Cincinnati with overruns on building materials. You more of less have to show up with a truck and hope they have what you need I think.

I was a tool & die maker in a former life. I do a little gunsmithing, work on bikes, stuff like that.
I hate wood and it hates me right back.
I will have to buy what I need and I have "a guy" who does stuff like hanging doors and whatnot...

Too bad we don't live closer. I could get you a deal on a door and hang it. Shipping costs would kill the deal. If the jamb is still good I would look into finding a wholesaler and buy the door blank. But I love wood and it thinks I'm ok most of the time.
