And then one day you find ten years have got behind you...

CIMG1047.JPG CIMG1050.JPG pulled this out of storage last week, got it in 95. CIMG1053.JPG removing the entire fuel system today, installing new fuel pump, fuel filter, cleaning tank, supply and return lines, injection lines, fuel distributor. need to find a fuel pressure tester that works with this older bosch jetronic cis. a 1976, gray market car. the most noticeable differences from US production are the absence of the 4 headlights and ugly 5 mph bumpers. I'm actually in physical pain here. I had a 450SL that I had to sell when I got pregnant. 2 seats and 3 people didn't mix. My little darling will be 22 this Sat. and I'm still not sure it was worth it.

The old Jetronic mechanical injection system!
I had a parts house many many years ago. I sold quite a bit of components for those! Love the 450! Still one of the sexiest cars ever built.
