I have a piece of S_it Corbin solo seat for an 02 Road King ....... Free of charge just shipping cost. It is not pretty and you would not want to keep it on your bike, but try it out before you spend money on one. Then ship it off to the next guy.

I went with a Danny Gray seat. It seems to be in between the Corbin and the Mustang.

Russ I'm tall with a 34" inseam. I switched to the HD Tallboy. It moved me back a tiny bit and up a little. Got the knees more comfy. I added the foot board extensions and I find it to really be a lot better when sitting upright with my feet on the boards. I've had it on for a couple of months. The foot board extensions were added after a month or so, big,big help. I keep the road pegs down low on the crash bar so I can either put my heels on the foot boards with my toes on the pegs or stretch out all the way with my feet up on the pegs. I also found that the little bit of difference in the seat position gave me a more comfortable position when reaching for the controls.
The backrest still fits but you gotta adjust the bracket.

I have an SE Roadking seat on my Streetglide. Leather and good for 500 mile days with no pain. Russ, go to a large dealership that has a lot of bikes and try different seats. All the touring models have different seats and depending on the tank console they will interchange. The SE seats are all leather covered and lower profile so you should be able to keep your knees higher than your hips. The Roadglide seats have always been the most comfortable stock HD seats.

The sundowner I have is comfy for about 100 miles, then I really need to stretch my legs. It's good for another 100 after a 15-30 minute stop though, mainly to just get the blood flowing in my legs again. Seemed that the Sundowner I had on my Sporty was more comfy than the one on my Dyna.

See, that's the problem....I don't want my knees higher than my hips. That puts more pressure on my poorly-padded rump. Nearly every seat I can find is "low-profile", which is not something I want.

I have the same problem, but I also get the nerve in my hamstring pinched off if I can't get my knees up. Have you looked at the HD Road Zeppelin, air adjustable for both riders and they have a leather version.

After you get the height right, air is the way to go IMO. I've used a $3 donut with really good results. Just don't want to spring the $$$ for the AirHawk.

Well, after an exhaustive amount of reading today, I think I've settled on the Corbin Dual Tour. It's leather, it's not a lo-pro seat, and I like the firmness of the C&C on Vader.
