Return from the void. Otherwise known as the forbidden zone
It sure is good to be back home. I'm sure a couple of you's e might have wondered where I've been these last three months. I've sure missed everyone here
Two weeks after returning from my two month journey (LA via Omaha) and across the whole of the western states, starting with Sturgis, my friend with cancer went into the hospital for heart surgery following three heart attacks. I volunteered to stay with him till he got better as he had no family close who could. A week after Jerry's surgery, they found new and aggressive cancer growth, and started him on chemo once again. He had already been through two lung surgeries followed by Chemo and radiation. I drove him to Chemo treatments, cooked, provided moral support, friendship and a wealth of knowledge from the GF before' last bout with cancer. I did the best I could with what resources I had, but time was not on his side. Jerry is now in hospice care. Since I still had a BSC (Bat Shit Crazy) now ex GF living in my house, staying with Jerry was an excellent option to keep some distance between her and myself till she moved out. (end of Dec) I was far out in the sticks and had no internet, only open air wave TV (two channel options) and little to no cell service at all. I returned home a week ago and am getting settled back in. Internet was the last item to get going here, as basic utilities had priority. Technically I still have no internet till they come out Tuesday with a new router, but I had service shortly after conversing with an AT&T agent on the phone yesterday so I'm using it. I'll be catching up this week with the forum members here who helped me get back to Arkansas. I am most thankful for your help for my return. I can't thank you all enough. I have many a tale to tell of my escapades, and hope to share with as time allows. I am thrilled the DC Tenth anniversary is taking place in the Hog Yard. I can hardly wait till June. BOB

It was a long strange trip for sure. I was out of here the first week of August, and only just returned to ghetto crib a week ago. Six months of adventure that can't be duplicated or memories replaced. Many thanks to all here and to those I met along the way.

Were you gone?
Oh. I see. Good on you for filling the time appropriately. That's a job for a saint. And don't give her my address. I'm just too tired.
