Way back in the day.... 30 years ago, I used to shop in REI's original store "all" the time. Of course though I did a lot more hiking and camping in the back country than I have for many years.
I recall the old warehouse they turned into a store in Seattle. If I recall it was on 11th or 12th ave East. The catalog was black and white and my membership card only had 5 digits...
