melted rain cover on pipes ..... removal

ok, here's the first report


I tried the Iron Cleaner stuff.

It had a marginal effect on the stuff, not enough effect to keep after it with it.

Now this mess isn't just like your boot scuff on the pipe. There is a think coating of melted plastic rain cover on the pipe.

I think the iron cleaner would take off boot scuffs and the like, but doesn't have much effect on the blob of stuff that's on my pipe.

Next (tomorrow ..... as we are partying today ) I will try the steel wool. .......... if that doesn't work to my satisfaction, I'll try the oven cleaner ..........
