this is what i think...

the guy in pic is just using the non-marring pvc to loosen the cam-lock(threaded), by tapping it with a hammer...

i'd put some painter tape on the tank too

mark the position of the filler assy to tank, so you get it back in same spot

the fill neck is offset, and could be rotated to any position in the circle, hence the "cam"

Thought I'd better after running all that skunky, dirty south of the border gas. Man, your Chevrons don't even have 94 oct, and if I can get 91 oct its got that goofy ethanol in it I'll have to tone down my tunes timing a little too, for States runs.....

Have to thank, Al Gore, EPA, and all the other politicians from the land of fruits and nuts (California) for our declining gas quality. On the east coast, at least in my area, you can usually get 93 but it is often 10% ethanol.
