91-92 FXR, FXD aircleaner set up

So i fitted some new mufflers to my mates Dyna Daytona and i was gonna install a new aircleaner set up at some stage, but his bike has the crankcase breather set up that comes out of the back of the aircleaner casing.

How would i go about setting up an aftermarket aircleaner? I already replaced the filter with a K&N but since it's strangled it's probably not doin' shit.
I was thinking about just drilling out the black plastic housing/cover and re-jetting.

If anybody here has replaced their carb or A/C with this set up can you let me know what you did and post some pics if you have any.
