Ricky, Thanks for the effort you put into the write. It was very helpful and informative. One last question. Since you went with the 07 upgrade what special tools did you use?

Ah, good question. I used the inner cam bearing remover and installer set and the oil pump alignment pin set; both from George's garage and graciously loaned to me by Talonchief Thanks, Tim!!

A note to PeaceKeeper: to do the SE kit you will also need a press and the related tools to press the bearings. The Late Model conversion doesn't use the pressed bearings.

You're welcome.

You can do the cams w/out a press. The fit of the bearing to plate is loose interference. Freeze the bearings and bake the plate a little and they drop right in.
