Here's an interesting article. Can't say that I've ever heard of a twist like this before,... but... NO charges filed??? WTF is up with that?

A Houston police officer was shot and wounded by his wife, a deputy with the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable's Office, during an argument in Richmond on Thursday.

The shooting occurred about 4 p.m. at a home in the 21600 block of Cozy Hollow Lane, said Terriann Carlson, spokeswoman for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.

The officer, whose name has not been released, was wounded in the leg. He was rushed to Oak Bend Hospital. No other injuries were reported.

The wife's name also was not immediately available. She has been reassigned off of patrol duties pending the outcome of the case, officials said.

No arrests have been made and the case is expected to be presented to a grand jury without charges.

Investigators said that the officer and his wife had a confrontation and she shot him.

Fort Bend deputies are still investigating the case.

How do you know he was unarmed?

One need only be in fear of one's life.
This one wouldn't be a good one to make assumptions on until the facts are in.
If there were no charges were filed, there's more to the story.

Statistically there is a high rate of spousal abuse amongst officers. It would be an interesting twist if the woman were the abuser. . .

Agreed the story sounds incomplete. Just seems like if he had abused his wife, the paper would have been quick to point out domestic violence as being a factor. They do any other time something like that happens.
