This is maybe a partial fix / prevention?, a manual tensioner in place of the auto primary tensioner.

Nope. Cranks were scissoring just prior to the auto adjusters. It's the cheap shitty way they're built. Thats why they went to a new comp sprocket, the crush drive rear pulley and recalled bikes to detune the computer just coming off idle. Bandaid approach instead of fixing the root cause. How they stay in business amazes me.

I have that tensioner in my garage on the floor, I removed it because it makes a noise in the primary like a bb in a can.Smart Dave and i talked .I would be happy to sell it to i for 1/2 price if you want it. I put about 1000 miles on the bike aftr instalation .I put the stock one back in quiet as before.
