26 G cams maybe or maybe not 95" and a good tune. With the 95" probably looking around $2K - $3 K.

I say go for it. See you're in NH these days. Plenty of places in your area can get you there.
However... a doof trip to JDs with doof stopovers along the way would be good. Why didn't you think of that?

get a light weight bike, but some better heads on it, cam (W6 maybe) slide body carb ..... keep the compression down to around or just under 10:1 ....
It'll smoke a lot of bikes .... it won't be the absolute fastest one out there .... but you didn't say that's what you wanted either .... OH, and you can do the work yourself and save a lot of money too
