I have the long angle ones, and adjusted them like Karl, so my heel is on the footboard & toe on the peg...

I have the HD Flamer pegs - they self adjust when laying the bike over in the driveway...

Here's mine w/ the H-D 360 mounts.
They clear the lowers in this position (and several others), but the angled ones give you more options.
