Option A: You're on a motorcycle..you can go your own way.

Option B: Bite the bullet, ride with them and think "Dumbasses!" for the rest of the trip.

Option C: Humiliate them and elevate your own self by starting a, "What do you do when the group wants to take an ill advised route" thread on the World Wide Web.

Here's the thing:

The route home was pre-planned by the Thread starter. We were asked by Mr. "I don't need no stinking leather" if we wanted to ride back the way we eventually did because "It's such a pretty route".

The other three had no opinion one way or the other, so in order to get us moving forward, I agreed with our Road Captain and away we went. As it turned out, we had to stop and get Mr. "Frosty Balls" a new, non-Harley sanctioned jacket for the ride home.

We made it back, all safe and secure albeit a little cold.

In hindsight, I'm thinking the lesson learned here is that it's more of an outfit than a costume.

Kinda depends on whether or not it's one piece and buttons in the back.

Did you also mention we had to make repairs to your bike in the first hour of our ride? Don't forget to glue on the new rubber trim.

Didn't want to spoil the tradition... and for those who aren't aware... every time we get together to ride, someone's HD breaks... it just happened to be my turn...

Let's see...

Gordito... brake arm/heat shield.... lights... etc.

Doug... master cylinder... rear wheel...

Russ... well, nothing has happened to Russ's bike but his seat is getting dangerously chalky... and now that he has a big boy build... we'll be seeing him more on the sidelines...

Mike... fender/saddlebag bracket.... air cleaner almost falling off...

Joe... nail in rear tire

Jeff... air cleaner bolts

Course, this is just in town... interstate trips have a separate list...

Did I miss anything?
