Happy Anniversary!

I got lavender roses and dinner at our favorite 50's style diner, followed by a trip to Murdocks to buy rolled oats, dog food, and horse bedding.

I got heated grips!!

Oh, and we went out to eat on Friday (before the Valentine's Day crowds) and went riding some yesterday, and I bought us an ice cream cake.

Did I mention I got heated grips on my bike?

My daughters and I got heart shaped donughts at Krispy Kreme -- they LOVED it!

Many years from now two young men will owe me BIG TIME for setting the appropriate level of expectation at an early age.

I was going to grill some ribeyes but a 30MPH wind started blowing in our cold weather last night about 6P and we were not able to get the grill started so we had to go to a backup plan of roasted chicken, baked potatoes, corn and garlic toast. It was very tasty but I am hoping to eat those ribeyes tonight

I cooked Filet Mignon topped with a pesto hollandaise crab sauce, roasted garlic linguini with a sundried tomato cream sauce and purple cauliflower. Cooked and served during the red flag in the 500 so I didn't miss any racing action.

I went out and got bagels and roses for breakfast, even bought some posies for my daughter. I too am setting the bar high.

The wife made up a big turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and homemade pumpkin pie and cheesecake for dessert.

We had a birthday dinner for my Dad at my sister's house.

She made pork tenderloin, green beans and a cheese-broccoli casserole, my Mom brought mashed potatos, my little sister made a Caeser Salad, mrs. orbit made a Sour Cream pound cake, I made a pork sausage stuffing, with sage, fresh mushrooms, garlic, onion and rye bread (with caraway seeds).

It was all good.
