We'll ask some very savvy folks to monitor the posts here and answer your question. If you are a Tech answering a question, please do it in the linked thread rather than here. Three years ago when I was still at the bike shop and we were campaigning the Pro Stock dragbike, MOCO got after us for a bar and shield sticker on the race trailer. A local dealer myself and my rider both had worked at in the past was behind it. Some suits from Milwaukee showed up at the bike shop, told us we were infringing on a copyrighted insignia and would have to remove it. By law it was a copyrighted logo, all 4" X 6" of it, one sticker per side of the trailer. It seemed like a great way for MOCO to get some free advertising. We had to remove it or suffer the consequenses. I call it chickensh!t. The world's most recognised logo and they made us remove it. But if you have $25 you can get a t-shirt with an even bigger logo and wear it anywhere. Or $20 for a coffee cup. Or for an extra $12 you can get the companion saucers for the cups. A fine pair of bar and shield shot glasses are prolly just $10! Would there even be a MOCO if there were no dog collars and candlesticks with that logo on them for sale?? Would the MOCO even exist just on service and bike sales? Friday
