Question LocTite

Necesary or required on all bolts? I didn't have any when I put the removable windshield on the other day. Do I need to get some post-haste and reinstall?

believe it or not, HD has it at a decent price... don't get the tube, its gone in like 10 bolts. Get the bottle... lasts forever... $32.

Any auto parts... make sure to get the blue removeable for standard bolts around the bike.

I use it, but I also go by the instructions for most things. Not to say I don't use it sometimes just for fun.

I was surprised when rebuilding my sled motor, no loctite was required. Long bolts stretch and tq themselves. Thats probably why no loctite on head bolts.

I was talking to some guys who work on nuke equipment. They measure the stretch in bolt to know that its torqued. Little useless trivia.

You can get the blue in a stick, kinda like Chapstick. Real easy to use and doesn't drip.

If you don't wind up with a drip at least once or twice, how do you know you actually had fun?
