The rear header shield is lifting off. Looks like the little stirrup thing inside the shield has broken away from the shield.
The "stirrup" thing the hose clamp threads through to hold it on the pipe. Dang!

Emailed Jamie, no extras on hand, can "will call" ship it back for repairs.
Well, the hose clamp didn't strip out, don't think it's been over tightened? Maybe remove it and ride to RL with bare header, or get some wrap for the time being?

Tom, if you have some wrap, cut two strips long enough for each to make a full wrap; wrap one around the header at the clamp location, install the shield on top of the wrap, then place the second strip around the pipe and over the shield, then a clamp over the whole shootin' match.
Not elegant, but effective.

If I were going to get a new one in the near future, I'd MIG that back on for now.
Lay the chrome side on a wet towel. Might not leave any evidence.

It is a new, since last July, one.
Nix the idea of riding it with a bare pipe.  That little heat shield blocks all kinds of heat, just did a quick ride around and that bare pipe gets hotter than Hades and sin...

MIG it, I just did one of Marlene's for her Sportster. Have some water handy and dump it on as soon as you make a weld, if you hit it quick it won't discolor.

Take away my man card, I have neither MIG or TIG setup in my back pocket.
Just gonna clamp it on with some heat tape between the header and some on the outside of the shield. First I have to go to Carson City tomorrow when I pick up another cruiser from the dealer and buy a couple of feet of it.
