A bagger wobble case goes to trial.

It will be interesting to see if they can prove it. I believe it's happened too many times to too many good riders to be fiction. God bless that rider who is now paralyzed for life.

I've seen it. Saw Ricky fighting for his life because of it. I vote real.

There's no doubt bagger wobble is a real thing, the question will be whether or not that was the cause of this accident. I get sick seeing bikes that look like that.

I feel for the guy, and only have the info from that article, but from that I will guess the jury finds HD not culpable. He sped up to pass the group, and was obviously doing a little more than the speed limit which is going to put the rider at fault.
Not saying there wasn't any wobble on baggers, just saying that won't be enough to win.

My point is can they prove it in a court of law? I don't even know how to go about that!

We all know bagger wobble is real. If it weren't, why do a dozen companies make devices to cure it? Why did the MoCo change the frame and redesign it to eliminate it?

I think this reason, more than any other seems to suggest that there was an issue. Why "revolutionize" the frame, an claim it is stiffer if you don't have an issue with the current version?

I think that was the public claim to give plausible deniability to the real reason for the change.

I am not taking up for anyone here. I know nothing about wobble, drilling cams, and doing all this other stuff you guys like to do to your bikes. I think at times guys more than women like all this fast let me brag to you about what I have done to my bike type stuff. There are many times these "make it mine" customizing is done by people that really DON'T know what they are doing. They tend to get in a hurry, or just plain neglect to check everything a second or maybe even a third time. We have no idea what this firefighter did to his bike for his own personal enjoyment. WE have gotten to the point that it is always the other persons fault...no matter what. I hate to see these accidents, it really makes me sick to my stomach, but none the less, we still want the bike to run faster, be louder, have more chrome than anyone else on the road. A lot of us tend to ignore these life lessons. Nuff said....My hubby and I had a guest from Hawaii back last summer. She rented her bike (Fatboy Lo) from a dealer in Lexington, KY. Rhode it to Townsend to meet with us at the cabin. We rode hard for almost two days. We were headed back to the cabin late on the second day coming through the Tail of The Dragon. She developed a really bad wobble around 45/50 MPH. When we got bak to the cabin, my husband checked all that he could think of for wobble. He put a thread out on the HD touring forum and a guy came back with "have you checked the air in the tires"? Guess what..the air was way too low! Sorry about this long thread, not really any use to anyone other than giving my opinion and I guess defending Moco somewhat.
