Longevity is not their long suit. Same advice as Mike, don't go cheap. I did a Baker DD6. Proven reliability. Got mine at Eastern Performance, 2 Grand shipped.

I'd be asking about miles, not years, since it was in a hardtail chopper and I don't think transmissions mold unless you use vegetable oil in them...

it originally started in a chopper I built....stock unit...RevTech case and gears....and then I put the gear set in the case for the big horse bike...total usage 6 years....they weren't ridden everyday but the were ridden a lot...the big horse unit took a LOT of abuse and is still running in the bike as we speak.

Well I ended up buying the ultima 6 speed gear kit new for 625.00 , is there any recommendations I should do be for installing this set of gears
