Angry Colorado Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson SERVICE Dept. Stinks, SUCKS and BLOWS!!

Had a flat the Saturday after the DOOFAPALOOZA. Called Rocky Mountain Harley Davidson and they said if I got it there by noon they'd have out by 3pm. After two weeks of the bike in the shop waiting for tire..I got it home.

THEN...went to ajust my saddle bags and noticed that the rear sproket, Belt and primary case were gooped up with and decorated with DUCT TAPE. What's worse, is the belt had to be at least 2,000 PSI tight!!

Took it back today, Brian apologized (to his credit) and he understood why I was so pissed off.

After waiting for the bike for 1.5 hours he offered me a "Free Detail" for my trouble. I said "you gotta be kidding me.."

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HARLEY DAVIDSON SERVICE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheesshh..for $300 I kind of expected not to have to use half of my one day off a week to get it right.

I had a blow up like that here in Corpus,
I really wanted to hit the service manager. It took everything in
my power just to leave. He was fired not much after that!

Freedom Harley Davidson Service Department

Freedom Harley Davidson Service Department Rules.

When I took my bike in to them while we were in Golden, I was a bit worried. They told the guy in front of me his would be ready the following afternoon for a 1000 mile service. I told them I was from out of town and needed to leave the next morning.

They took my bike right in and fixed it. They also threw in a free detailing, which was a real deal as normally their detailing is $89 and my bill for repair was only $79.

I'll probalby never be there again and they knew that.

I highly recommend them.

Don't hold back. tell us how you really feel.

People are going to be people. Sometimes they screw up. I don't mind the screwups as much as being promised something when the person knows they can't make good on it.

Glad they were able to get your on the road Okay Genoway...sounds like they put a mechanic on your bike and not a primate?

I guess I'm really special..my "free detail" ($300 of work) included the super deluxe "Duct TAPE and tighter than a bulls ass belt SURPRIZE"...

Sorry...I'm not usually so "authentic" but my FIRST experiance with that service shop is not good..

Sounds like Jack needs to take a stroll through the showroom right after topping off on a big bowl of fresh water!

So how far apart are Rocky Mountain HD and Freedom HD.

From what each of us experienced the ride to Freedom would seem to be a bargain.

Oh, I didn't mention it but besides being free, it was the best detailing I ever got. Those guys must have used steel wool to get rid of some of the corrosion that was there.

Am I reading correctly that you were charged $300 for a rear tire replacement?
