4:43 texas time 3:43 here gonna coffee up and head out for flagstaff with a a stop or two on th way..... Winslow for th pic of the statue on th corner.
Then on to Winona to visit the LaPosada hotel it's a redone Harvey house run by a very famous artist with a lot of her work on display.
Google it and check it out you wll be surprised !!!!

I did, thank you! There is also a restored Harvey House in Slayton, Texas. Shelley Belle and I stayed there once. Too cool!

Left the El Rancho on 66 headed Winslow . Made a stop at the wigwam motel very cool place and is still in operation.Found the statue standin on th corner got a pic.did some old 66 through Winona.Headed for wopatki monument and the ruins that Fonda,Hopper & the hippie hitchhiker (Luke askew) had the campfire at. Here hippie told Hopper " you could be a triful polite" . Then on to Sacred Mountain gas station where they filled up with gas.
Then over to the pine Breeze motel where they were told "No Vacancy"
The no vacancy sign is hanging in the Belmont Harley shop bar and grill.
Tomorrow the "Big Ditch" Grand canyon south rim !

Cold in the morning hot in the afternoon but. Not as hot as Texas.
Should be cooler up on the rim.
A nice break before heading across the Mojave next week.
