EFI and cold weather.
Figured one of our injection experts could help me out. This cold weather has my bike running cold, no pun intended. I think that the engine temp sensor shit the bed. No codes have been thrown and the bike runs fine. It just wont warm up. Was 30 ish yesterday, spent 3 hours in the saddle, oil temp never got over 170 and smelled exhaust gas the whole time. Pulled the plugs, looked fine, nice light grey with no fouling, no fuel in oil, throttle response was sluggish at low rpm, once I wound her out she ran fine, then at low speeds back to smelly and cold. Im thinking that maybe its not coming down off of the choke tables due to the low ambiant air temp or the engine temp or air intake temp crapped out. Any thoughts?

No oil cooler, it was removed by a road hazard. Seen no difference without it.

Do you have the SERT or TTS? My head temp sensor went bad and I was able to see the data from the sensor. The temps from the sensor were erratic.

Do a run in data mode and post up the file.

Got it narrowd down to the head sensor, changing it out this weekend, Ill let ya know if my diagnosis holds water or I just pissed away 40 bucks. Its out side of spec on the resistance at 50 deg, so we will see.
