Doors for the lowers

I picked up a pair of locking doors from a guy on HDF for a pittance. Figured I'd get the locks switched out to my key code and call it a day. The locks themselves.....Just the locks....were over $200.

So I walked over to the touring section of the store and picked up two pushbutton fuel lid releases. The parts geek insisted they wouldn't fit.

Well guess what.......

Sent from my iPad, probably while I'm pooping.

Where in the world do you shop for locks, dood?

You can buy (for example)a matching keyed tour pack lock assembly from HD for something under 25 bux.

Someone's been blowing some smoke.

But it looks great!

Lord knows. Old Glory Harley in Laurel, MD wanted $240 for the two locks. Truthfully, though the locking might be nice, if the mechanism is anything like the fuel door lock, it's shite.

This way I can keep clear glasses, lighter (or heavier) gloves, or crap I need while riding in there, and not have any issue getting at it.

How do you think he got them to fit?

Either tin snips or a big ol step drill spinning at max RPM's.
