Not Responding...
as im searching websites, my computer(windows 7...IE 11) will stop, and i get a "IE not responding" box...then "click to close and reopen" ...
is it an IE problem?...should I switch to a different browser, like Chrome, or is it my computer...?

The same thing happens to me with Firefox.

Switch to Chrome, IMO its less buggy and uses less resources

Ida kno? ie has always had a bad rep, and I have chrome on the pc but never use it unless an interesting topic isn't acting right on its' end.
I switched to Firefox as my main go to browser some 10 plus years ago and it's been pretty fault free. My tiny laptop is a wifi only connection, so it does slow down noticably regularly. It is so old and small the latest updates can't load It also helps to clean and reformat the C-drive if not pre-set to do it regularly BOB
