Are you sure? I though in 06 on sporties and toruing bikes, which account for alot of sales and would bring down over all emmisins. I am pretty sure, but not 100% that touring bikes had them in 06.
I thought 2006 was the only year too. But can't say for sure. |

They are the reason I am having second thoughts about buying an '07.

There aren't cats on any of the 07's including Calif. bikes.
Only exception are the 110 motors. |

I think there may be some confusion on cats. There are at least 2 kinds on motorcycles. One is coated on the interior surface, and is an oxidation converter, and the second is a three way which uses a sensor and oxygen injection. I think CA bikes had the first type possibly as early as 2000, but the three way started last year and is present on all/most CA models in 2007. (Hint) pop, pop on deceleration as unburned gas comes in contact with heated insides of muffler, and natural flow of air in muffler. If there is anything in the construction of the muffler to cause that to happen, it would be considered an oxidation type converter. What most of us are thinking of, however, is the current 3-way with O2 sensors.

Dynas don't run cats. At least not 06-07. They have O2 sensors. Slightly different. phirst year I can recall the cats, were as was previously stated, Sporty / Touring in 06.
