Need some input from everyone
A friend of mine whom I've ridden and worked with for a long time came up with an improvement on an idea for a throttle aid. He's got a few made and sold, and I worked up a proto-website for him. I've used one on the Low Rider for over a year now, and it seems to work pretty well.
We've kinda considered the legality of selling them - I don't think it's a good idea to mention the idea of holding the throttle while you give your hand a break; if someone uses it for that, well, that's their business. Trouble is, it works great for that and doesn't pinch the control hard at all. Once you grab back on, the throttle works pretty much the same, just doesn't snap back. Good selling point, but I imagine a lawyer would have a field day with it. Anyway, any and all input would be appreciated, good, bad or indifferent. |

Yep, I was just about to say that.
My bike doesn't have cruise, nor do I intend on installing cruise. I'd buy the chikinfoot. Seems like it'd work well for me.

That should work; just trying to think of contingencies. The warm-up deal is a plus, but giving the throttle hand a break is where this thing really pays for itself. BUT...it's also the problem area.

I've been using an original Throttle Rocker on my last 4 or 5 bikes. I can't ride w/o it. My last 2 H-Ds have had cruise...a MUST have option for mechanic hands.
If i had a bike w/o cruise, I would still go for the Throttle Rocker only because I don't want to fiddle with a throttle lock. JM2CW

It looks like a good idea. I bet there is a warning about the throttle lock in the HD manual that you could use as a disclaimer.

The older sportsters had throttles like that, the DOT made them change one of the reasons for twin cables.
