Not sure what 8 is using, but I use Roxio Media Creator 7 (not sure what ver. it's up to now).
It's very cool. You load in the pix you want to use, do a rough alignment (I use the same rock, tree, pole, whatever) and then the rest is automatic, it builds the panorama for you.
