I'm Lookin For...

...Something I can't find.

OK, here's what I'm looking for:

I have a pigtail coning off of my battery for my heated gear. It's the one that looks like the A/V plug. Gerbings.

I want to find an adaptor that will plug into that then have a plug on the other end that accepts a battery tender plug so I can charge the bike right through the heated gear pigtail, instead of installing another pigtail specifically for the battery tender.

Anybody ever see anything like this?

Posted this over in Gear/Accessories too.

pig tail

Harley sells plugs and pins and pig tails for the two leads under my RK seat. One is to battery and one for the acc. switch on the nacelle. Two different styles of connectors. There are in the Harley acc. book.

Look for the Powerlet Socket Adapater. I believe that is what you are looking for.

Not exactly what I was lookin for, but that has potential.

Instead of the cig plug on the end, I'm lookin for the Gerbings heated clothing A/C type.

Dang, thought I had it for you there. Do you have the SAE connector on your battery tender?

Darrell -

I've been looking for the same thing ever since I picked up a used Gerbing electric vest!! I didn't get the Gerbing pigtail that would go to the battery and have sort of been wondering what I would rig up. Please be sure to post what you find.

Can't help you. But if I was going to cut one, i would splice a gebring style on to the tender. Sicne the tender doesn't take much abuse.

Do they both take the same size fuse? That will give you an idea for capacity. I don't have a tender, so not sure how beefy or what its rated for.

BTW this has come up at VTF, at the time I didn'thave heated gloves, and don't have a tender, so didn't pay much attention.
