A machinist buddy of mine in California made me the most beautiful timing covers and derby covers I have ever seen. They are chromed, and have my initials milled into them. Absolute works of art! It would be a grave insult to him for me not to install them on my bikes.

Sorry Baalz, it's just not going to happen.

Okay, Safetyman sent me a PM early on, he got the Derby cover...

Sorry, Jim...

Look, you guys, I have gotten pm messages asking if I was bailing, if I was leaving. The answer to those questions is "HELL NO". My friend in Livermore, Vic, has been a machinist all his life. They got a new CNC mill at the place he works in Hayward. Vic is also a biker, and he called me up a couple weeks ago and said he was sending me something for my Springer, something to make it personal. He didn't say what. When I opened the box a couple days ago, I found a timing cover for my Evo, I also found a derby cover for it, as well as a timing cover and derby cover for my Ultra. They have "Tribal" patterns around the edges, and my initials "H C K" milled into the covers. Then he had them chromed. He said he used the new mill to make them for me.

I have known Vic for 25 years, he is such an awesome guy, there is no way I cannot put these items on my bikes. I don't want to insult him by not doing so.

So, if any of you were counting on me leaving, blow it out your ass!
