Russ, I was thinking of you last week when we were riding highway 245 up to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Awesome, but tight and twisty. I would say they were more technical than the Dragon. No markings what so ever. Tried to take a video with Patti holding the camera, but It would make anyone motion sick watching it. Wish I had a Go-Pro. Check out this map. Route 245.
The roads through the parks were 35/45. Nice rides. http://mapq.st/5-9j3HijCS

After crossing the Mojave, we stopped and stayed with friends Ben and Mary in Big Bear, CA. 7100 ft elevation at their house. 43 degrees in the morning.

We went into Kings Canyon NP first and visited Grant's Grove. The Grant Tree is the second largest. There are dozens of other very large Sequoia's in this grove.
Here's the Grant tree first, followed by many others.

These are from Sequoia National Park.
The General Sherman Tree is the "largest" tree in the world. This is based on weight/volume. There are taller trees (Redwoods), but they do not have the width and mass of the Sequoia's. First pic is General Sherman. Second pic is a stone paver pattern that represents the footprint of the base of General Sherman. Patti could not get back far enough to capture all of the stones in the footprint.

After Kings Canyon and Sequoia, we headed up to Yosemite. We got there late in the day. Actually entered the park after 6 pm. Fantastic road headed up to the south entrance. All of the traffic was headed down, so I had a blast.
As it was nearing dark when we arrived at the viewpoint, we didn't get many pictures. Wanted to take Tioga Pass over the top and out the back side to see FEButte, but it was pitch black and was already 8:30 pm. Decided not to go that route and went down into the valley so we could visit family the next day. Sorry Tom. Sure wanted to get up that way.

Is there anyway you could PhotoShop yourself out of the pictures you post and just leave Patti in them?
Please.

Because I'm well aware nobody wants to see me either... Next time I'll take pictures of my wife and post them. Of course, since you've never met my wife, you'll have to trust me...Or ask Dippsy.
