I put my lyndalls on 2.5 years ago, about 21k miles, fronts and backs still good. Mostly 2up loaded with makeup (not mine)!

I changed mine at 20K. Probably had another 200 miles left on them

Used to? Did you have the clutch and break mixed up?
For changing, or just installing tire, I find a paint stick broke in half, 2 thick, works great to pry the pads apart, and slide over rotor. Wood doesn't scratch anything either |

I had perfectly good OEM brakes front and back. My rear breaks were squeaking a bit so I decided to replace them with the Lyndall, so I got one set of Lyndall Gold and put them on the rear and pretty much forgot that they were there as the squeaking stopped.
6800 miles later I did a motor rebuild and went to look at the breaks. Surprisingly enough, my front OEM pads had no more than 50% wear however, my rear Lyndall Gold were gone. Down to the metal. I replaced them with OEM. The squeaking is back but so be it. I would say I got at least another 6000 to 7000 miles left on the front. |

I typically run OEM on the back and Lyndalls on the front, as OEMs were cheaper and I never really wanted any help in locking up the rear wheel. However, the new HD pads are the same cost as Lyndalls.

24k two sets of rear and original up front... I've always been a back brake guy but I'm trying to work on using the front brake more since that's where all the braking power is anyway. I used to only use the front brakes for hard stops but I'm getting better about it now.
