If I use helium in my tires would it give me a sensation of floating down the highway?

Drag racers do it. Suppose to maintain a more consistent pressure because it is less susceptible to heat. Or so I was told.

And the methane would be a real fire ball if you picked up a nail and it caused a spark. Look like Ghost Rider. So even though Dave has the proper valve, do not try it, especially in the burn out pit.

Doofs.

Ya ask a serious question and get a lot more than you bargained for.
Funny reading.

Costco fills up tires with Nitrogen. They put a nice little green cap on the valve stem also.

Yeah, but if Costco does it, is it still covered under warranty??

Just askin'....

By the way, if you ARE at Costco getting nitrogen in the tires, go inside and try the samples of the little cheese turnovers.

They're to die for.

THAT my friends was a Public Service Announcement.

Composition of air is 78% nitrogen, almost 21% oxygen and lot's of little bits of crap. So you're really just cutting out the oxygen.

I don't see how it would hurt, but fail to see how it helps. I'd go the helium route and if that leaks out too fast switch to Neon or Argon.
