Yes, it seems like I find myself in a situation of my own doofness.

I seem to have a problem with my voice center emanating words and phrases without my brain being allowed to process the information prior to vocalization, which leads to dire consequences. I believe this to be a neurological disorder that is genetic in nature, passed from one generation to another thru male descendants (must be that Y chromosome) – therefore, not my fault.

As any parent, I want to prevent my children from making the same mistakes as I have; therefore my concern is that my 13 month-old son has inherited this genetic disorder also.

Any suggestions as to how I can prevent this ‘brain-fartness’ from occurring in the future and advice/wisdom I can pass down to my son?
